Afristone are suppliers of natural stones mined from all around the earth. Their mission is to supply Natural Stone Products with passion, integrity and transparency.

Brief & Objectives

Afristone approached us with the vision of creating a modern, refreshed online presence. Our goal was to design and deliver a state‑of‑the‑art website that combines striking visuals with intuitive navigation, while showcasing Afristone’s products in a clear and engaging way.

The project objectives were to:

  • Communicate Afristone’s offerings with clarity and impact
  • Ensure effortless navigation throughout the site
  • Present high‑quality images and detailed information on available products
  • Enable easy social sharing to boost visibility and searchability
  • Optimise the experience for mobile users

To achieve this, we developed a comprehensive website plan with SEO best practices at its core, ensuring the site is not only visually compelling but also discoverable and effective in driving engagement.

Challenges & Strategy

Following the delivery of all visual assets and the agreed “look and feel” from the client, development officially began on August 31, 2021. The process encompassed sitemap and wireframe creation, integration of content and design elements, iterative testing, and refinements. Less than a month later, on September 23, 2021, the new site successfully launched.

Because this was a brand‑new build, several challenges had to be carefully managed. Chief among them was ensuring that all content was provided in a timely and complete manner, while also confirming alignment with the client’s design vision. In addition, new website projects often present further complexities:

  • Establishing a clear information architecture from scratch, with no prior site structure to reference.
  • Defining technical requirements early, such as hosting, security, and performance benchmarks, which are often overlooked until later stages.
  • Managing stakeholder expectations, since there is no existing baseline for comparison.
  • Ensuring SEO readiness, including metadata, redirects, and indexing, which can be more complex when starting fresh.
  • Integrating third‑party tools or platforms (e.g., booking systems, payment gateways) without legacy configurations to guide the process.
  • Balancing timelines with creative iteration, as design and content often evolve simultaneously in new builds.

Despite these hurdles, the project was delivered on schedule, resulting in a fully functional and visually cohesive website.

We developed a modern, visually engaging website for Afristone that prioritises easy navigation and a clear presentation of their product range. The client was delighted with the final outcome, and soon after launch the site began attracting positive organic traffic, thanks to the efforts of our parent company’s marketing team, Ruby Digital. Results
