About You

  • Have a proven track record of developing custom WordPress websites, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot WordPress functionality, themes, or plugins effectively.
  • Have a strong understanding of SEO best practices, performance optimization, and caching tools like WP Rocket.
  • Are proficient in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL, with experience using tools like ACF, Gravity Forms, and WP All Import.
  • Communicate effectively and work well in a remote team environment.
  • Are adaptable and capable of handling multiple projects in a dynamic work environment.

About the role

As a Freelance WordPress Developer, you will bring designs to life by creating fully functional, high-performance websites.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Developing custom WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements.
  • Converting designs (provided in Figma or Adobe XD) into pixel-perfect, responsive WordPress websites.
  • Ensuring websites are optimized for speed, SEO, and performance.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to WordPress functionality, themes, or plugins.
  • Implementing custom fields, taxonomies, and dynamic content using tools like Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
  • Collaborating with designers and project managers to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality.
  • Maintaining and updating existing WordPress websites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet project needs.
  • Transform Figma or Adobe XD designs into fully functional WordPress websites.
  • Optimize websites for performance, SEO, and usability.
  • Resolve technical issues and ensure smooth website functionality.
  • Implement dynamic content using tools such as ACF, Gravity Forms, Search and Filter Plugins etc.
  • Collaborate with the team to integrate designs and functionality seamlessly.
  • Maintain and improve existing WordPress websites.

Attributes & Requirements

  • Experience: Proven expertise in developing custom WordPress websites, demonstrated through a strong portfolio.
  • Skills: Mastery of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL. Familiarity with popular page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery) is a plus.
  • Tools: Experience with ACF, Gravity Forms, WP All Import, and WooCommerce.
  • Optimization: Knowledge of SEO best practices and performance optimization techniques.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively in a remote team.
  • Adaptability: Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
